Training Program for TF Healthcare Providers

A nutrition training session on "Complementary Feeding Practices" was held on 26th August, 2017 for the training of doctors and field investigators of Tribhuvandas Foundation.

Tribhuvandas Foundation is an NGO working for the betterment of rural maternal and child health care. It covers almost 836 villages of Gujarat. This particular session was conducted by Dr. Ruchi Vaidya, our Scientific Officer in Human Nutrition (EcDeesha) using audio visual presentations followed by a group discussion.

The training session covered a variety of topics which ranged from introducing infant and young child feeding practices and guidelines, the nutritional needs of children from 6 months to 2 years, introduction of "Nutridense" foods at the right age, amylase rich food and their benefits, appropriate feeding techniques and the safety measures and the gaps between the need and government's approach on complementary feeding counseling of rural mothers.
